Re: Diacom problems on Thinkpads (Was Re: 88 TBI issue)
I too have experienced difficulty with poor wiring to the ALDL causing CkSum
errors & bad data transmission, but not with Diacom. Running a 755C without
problems now on battery & inverter power.
I had routed the connection cable between the ALDL & MAX232 up through the
console to a more convenient location, and behold, the error frequency was
higher with the A/C blower on HI. Pretty blatant clue. It's fine now.
