Not to get picky here, but, what you have is a DFI, not a DIS.
DFI = Terrible/Unreliable.
DIS = Much improved.

The DIS used a Hybrid type design for it's PCB, you know where transistors
have no cases etc, plus the coils were removable for each 2 cylinders.
Whereas the DFI did use a standard type PCB but the coils were as a pack. I
'think' the DIS appeared on the later VP models.
