The F-body 2.8 never used the '165.  It used the 1226870 & 1227302 C3's.
The later 3.1 jumped to the 1227730.

Hardware-wise, it should be like a 1227747.  Out here, the '7429 is even
more scarce than the hard to find '7747.  All the 2.8 TBI's must still
be on the road.

The '7747 was never used with the 2.8.

The 2.8 TBI's have one unique item:  A widget that counts engine starts
or engine operating hours.  At some point, it signals the ECM to alter
it's calibration.  Something to do with emissions differences between
fresh and worn engines.
