I'm not sure where it is located(try
dogpile) but there is a file comparison
utility call VISDIFF you could use to
compare the dissas. bin you have with
some of the ones from the archives. If
the zr-1 is a MAP only system I'd start
with a '730 .bin, if MAF-- one of the
turbo buick ones. I looked at different
bins with JFG and they follow a similar
format(jfg highlights the differences(so
does visdiff).when you find a similarly
layed out file- modify the an ecu file
to look at it with winbin or something
similar.(I'd love to see the .bin from
this ecm.)I would assume that the bin is
layed out with data tables you could see
a picture of in winbin. The .bin  could
be closer to an obdII cpu series??(at
this point I' m in over my head and will
shut up). I'm still trying to figure out
which .ecu is correct and have made a
few changes to one(scaling factors and
hex addresses in the tables) to see what
the info looks at.There is a
disassembled aujp.bin(V-8 '730) in the
archives. It is mostly commented so you
can see where some of the info goes to.
You can also look at the '747 stuff and
see some of the methodology. I've read
(in the archives ) that the some of the
program is basically a finite difference
approximation of of a third to fifth
order differential equation and that the
lookup tables are to give it an initial
range of values to start with(see the
subjec PID in the
archives(DIY_EFI,GMECM)(I guess this is
to keep the values from fluctuating over
a wider range(stability factors). It
explains what adjustments(sorta) that
get made to the Injector pulse width
calcs. Inputs-MAF/MAP, IAT(MAT?), etc.
and outputs-Pulse width,IAC counts,
etc....) My assembler skills are next to
nil and wish I had some little program I
could drop the bin into just to watch
what the effect was on changing the
inputs(software .BIN Bench) yea ,
whatever..
I didn't here what your background was
but from the stuff you have already
figured out I assuming you've messed
with something similar before.
