Progress?  Not recently; testing is suspended while the 8-10" of snow
dissipates.....):}E

The idle quality was what got me into chipping in the first place - it
pained me for a *cold* engine to fire right up & idle @ 1400 rpms or so.  I
have to do more work on closed loop idle; got the idle rock solid by upping
the closed loop enable temp to 130°F; by that time, its warm enough to be
stable. 'Hunting' all over otherwise.

ECU test bench question:  I've got a 7749 set up on the bench, only inputs
right now are knock sensor & RPM & MPH (both using the *same* 555 output -
bizarre numbers....).  Per the ALDL data stream, injectors are firing, but
injector hooked to the output line(s) does *not* fire.  Maybe *all* the
sensors need to be connected??

One thing I've really learned is that you have to burn a chip specific for
*your* engine and combo of parts/mods.  Soon's as I get all the mods in
place, I'll work on getting the right chip parameters completely.  If such
jobs are *ever* done, that is.....
