Dan, one thing to take notice of when getting a 1227727 out of a 3.1 or 2.8 
front wheel drive vehicle is the connectors. Some of these don't allow the 
correct pin locations for the Vette pinout. Some of the terminal locations 
are "Molded over." The V-8 cars have different pinouts than the V-6's. The 
connectors alone can be purchased, with some trouble, from a dealer.
