tbi:454 vs. 350

A friend of mine  said that I should use the 350 throttle body for a 
conversion to a 76 Chevy 4x4 with the 350.  The reason was to get 
better torque out of the engine.  I have done several conversions on 
other high performance vehicles and have used the 454 tb.  The 
pickup is not set up for racing or will be for that matter.  Should I 
stay with the 350 tb?
