Vref = The nominal 5 volt excitation DC voltage for the MAP sensor, supplied
by the ECM/PCM.  Not always exactly 5 volts, so a good idea to measure
yours, to be accurate.  Consider this a constant in the equation.

MAP1volts out = The DC signal voltage produced by the MAP sensor in response
to the prevailing manifold absolute pressure.  This is the voltage which is
read by your ECM/PCM and displayed on your scanner.

The formula above is a basic linear equation.  You know Vref, you can
observe MAP1volts out from your scanner, and you can in turn then
algebraically solve for Kpa.
