Generally, It's the way the plugs are oriented in the chamber, indexing
cures that
With some really wierd fuels (like outdated stuff reformulated to resell)
they can splash read like that, but haven't seen that in 5-6 years now.

  Plug cutting a street engine doesn't need the precision of a NASCAR cut.
