Re: AWWH and AWUP

There's a small problem here. Broadcast code AWWH8443 is the calibration
file for a 91 454SS pickup. AWUP8555 is for a 92-93 454SS. Both were
subsequently superceded by BAMY5250. You can find the BAMY binfile on the
FTP site under filename BAMY38F1.BIN. All of these cals were exclusively
for the 454SS C1500 truck with GENV L19, 4L80E trans, dual exhaust, 4.10:1
gear, and 16147060 PCM.

Your truck (if it is a 92 5.7L) is an entirely different beast. Your best
bet is to remove your glove box liner, and examine the top surface of your
ECM/PCM (the silver rectangular box to the right hand side). You should
note a white sticker which should contain both the service part number of
your controller and the broadcast code of your calibration file. If the
controller has ever been replaced in the past, then the white sticker may
not illustrate your particular broadcast code. In this case, remove the two
screws holding the access door in place, and observe the blue MEMCAL unit
beneath. Through one of the two oval windows located on the top surface of
the MEMCAL, you should see a silver sticker denoting both the 4 character
broadcast code, and a 4 digit number beneath (ie: something like BAMY5250).

Once you have your truck's descriptors, then ask around the list, and surely
you will find someone who has had experience with your particular cal &
controller combination.
