Gene, there's a few of us here that are starting from the "other" end
of things.  I turn wrenches for a living, and learning code has been a
big struggle for me.  There's been a few folks here that have helped
quite a lot.  But it's an uphill battle.  My suggestion:  pick a
specific project, learn what you need to in relation to it.  GM efi is
a big subject, with lots of detours and side trips for the casual
traveler.
Have you read programming 101 yet?
