RE: Bins are us

For those of us like me for whom Dopey is a better name than Grumpy <g> -

Is there any chance of a glossary of terms on the web site at the same time
as the bins are posted ? For example, my ecu is an 01228331, with code AWSX
on the outside of the box. However, the EPROM in the blue lidded carrier
has AXSH 2423 printed on it, and the byte at location 0008 is 0xB0 (176
decimal). Finally, when interrogated via the ALDL link, the PROMID is
0x0919 ( 2329 decimal). Confused ? Yep me too.

So. What I would like to know is what are the dictionary definition for the
following terms :

MEMCAL - (Is this the name for the blue lidded PROM pack, or for the
software version installed in it ?)

BROADCAST CODE (BCC) - (Is this 0xB0 or AXSH2423 in my case ?)

PROMID - Shouldn't this value be 0x0977 (2423 decimal) if the code is
really AXSH2423, or is my ecu running A?S?2329 software ?

If there are any other dictionary definitions for the numbers in my case,
please let me know. TIA to Grumpy Nacelp and Ludis.

Cheers,
Confused of England,
Malcolm Robb, LC 0112G Dopey.

And.... if you make a bin please send it with the whole broadcast code
in the filename (4 letters and 4 numbers usually). A description would
also be good but BCC is most important. The magic decoder ring people
can always generate an application from a BCC but you can't go the other
way around.
