I bought  a so called spark plug wire crimp tool  and tried to crimp with it
and wasted  the first crimp then looked in my tool box and my AMP cb type coax
crimp tool was there and had nothing  to lose and made a perfect crimp .  Same
wires on race car for  five years. If you could see the faces of others that
have after market wires watch us pull plugs in the pit . We give the wires no
slack. I only use 7mm wire now and buy wire by the spool  and buy the crimpons
and boots for the type of car. The after market connectors are very cheap and
don't hold up to pulls you do every weekend.  Tell him to read the diameter of
the wire I may have jaws that will fit it my mini rg-8u jaws may fit.
