Their 120 volt wall outlet power supply (no load) provides 13.5 volts even,
though this is the limit as past much that, the 2N4401s will give out.  So
hopefully your cars DC is kept close to 13.5 and smooth (I have seen enough
alternators not do smooth well ;-).
