Re: 4.3L S10 questions

Doug, the only stock multiport fuel injection for the 4.3L engines came on
turbocharged 91 Syclones and Typhoons. The 92-95 Vortec engines (Vin W)
use "Central Port Injection". It consists of a single injector with
pressure-operated poppet valves with tubes running to each cylinder. The
manifold should fit an older 4.3L engine. In fact, Howell's has a kit to
do just that. The kit comes complete with wiring harness and computer--I
doubt you can use the TBI computer as is. You can get superchargers
designed specifically for the 4.3L, but the only ones I'm aware of are for
TBI engines.

First, I have access to a multiport 95 Vortec 4.3 manifold complete. Will
this manifold bolt up to the older 4.3 ok? I noticed the some of the older
4.3L motors have 9.3:1 compression and the new Vortec motors have 9.1:1
compression. Will I have to upgrade the TBI computer or can I rig up a
batch-fire system for all 6 injectors?

Pontiac Bonneville SSEI. Is it at all possible to use this SC on a 4.3L V6?
