The 1228746 does support VATS.  A neighbor has been putting one into a
1965 Buick.  I found the bit to flip to turn off VATS.  It hasn't been
tested yet 'cause the car has been sitting almost finished all winter long.

BTW, the 1228746 uses the same PCB as the 1227747, just with different
mask ROM chips.
