Re: 30# injectors

I pulled a set of red tops, which I believe checked out to be 30 #ers,
from a 90 Vette with TPIS intake. The ecm was stock and they appeared
to have been in there for a while.

Talk about a poorly set up system...
Big injectors, bigger cam and/or larger ratio rockers, aftermarket
chip, adjustable regulator, no cats or air pump, all the "magazine
stuff". Ran too rich at low speed/load, fuel pressure was turned down
to 28 psi @ idle, 3 attempts at pulling fuel outta the chip still
didn't look promising. Finally installed 24 lbs/hr injectors, raised
fp to stock, and put "original" aftermarket calibration back in.
Still not finished, but at least the small animals in the area aren't
getting killed by the exhaust.
