GM ECM to run a rotary engine

-> Ok, odd question for everyone to think about over the weekend. Could
-> a GM ECM (4, 6 or 8 cylinder) be made to run a rotary engine (2
-> rotor)?

 Hmm... I know an RX7 tachometer works fine with an ordinary four
cylinder 'boing-boing' engine, if that helps you any.

 A TBI-type computer like a 747 with one injector in each port and set
for a four cylinder would probably be close... except for the
leading/trailing spark issue. Can the ECM handle an odd-fire engine?
If not, an early 12A front housing with the dual distributors might be
easier to fangle on that.
