Re: Problem reading original EPROM



I had the exact same problem and ended up with the same solution that Mark
mentioned.  I have to make sure the prom is seated in the ZIF very well.  I
just keep moving it or putting pressure on the ZIF mechanism until I get the
same checksum everytime.  After I get mine seated correctly it works fine
until I remove the prom from the ZIF.  Like Mark mentioned rasising the prom
in the socket seems to help because it makes the legs of the prom a little
more flexible.
