Re: GM Trip Computer



The DIC listens to a couple of ALDL streams sent by the ECM for the gages
and fuel economy data. The ECM must send them. Not all do. Also, the message
ID's vary from year to year. I swapped a 3800 SC into a Ciera GT. I had to
change a few things in the message stream to make it work correctly with the
92 ECM. Also, it appears that the DIC has a fuel tank sender correction
curve and capacity value in it so the J/A/C/H DIC's have different
calibration code in them.
