My old nissan pickup had a 8-plug 4-cyllinder engine. maybe they thought it
was straight-8    ;-)

On the subject ot TBI 350 CI  to 350hp:

a bump to 10:1 will get you less HP than you think unless you zero deck it
w/ flat tops. leave the CR alone if you're gonna boost it.

forced induction is the best bang for the buck in that situation IMO. change
the head gaskets anyway though (high mileage car? severe duty planned?) ,
get springs, valves and a SC cam while you are at it. The 86 motor is non
roller? USE THE 90!


For your comparison:
383 TPI L98, ZZ4 cam, stock lower intake, stock exhaust, 350HP (by trap
speed, E.T, weight)
