The software computes rpm in units of 25 rpm and stores this in a byte. 
255 * 25 = 6375.  There are other variables in other units, but the 25
rpm one is the main variable.

The batch injector firing is still done in sync with the "RPM input" (at
every 2nd, 3rd, or 4th reference pulse.)
