How's she run? What modifications are there to the engine? Hot
cam, open heads, headers?

Stock engine.....so far.

I hadn't thought about the G-series vans. Thank you. There were
gobs of them made with TBI, just like the pickups.

What are the minor modifications? Is the hole in the top of the
tank big enough, and is the lock ring correct? 2.64 gal. lost... I
guess a fuel pump would take up that kind of volume. Oh well; I
can later swap for the larger 20-gal. tank the car could have come
with, if the trailer hitch doesn't interfere.
You need to close off the big vapor recovery vent pipe. If I'd known about the 4.3 TBI pump I would have used it.

That could save some serious money. Steel tubing isn't the
cheapest stuff.

I like it, I like it...

Sure looked like the kick panel was made for it, and I'm glad I was
right.

Perfect for my TH250C, an economy version of a lockup 350.
Decent transmission for a street car and a stock engine, but fairly
uncommon. A 350 would mount up exactly the same, but there's
nothing wrong with the 250C yet. :-)

Better consider a 350 if you are adding any power.

Yikes. I'll have to study my schematics closely. They just *would*
have to wire those in series, now wouldn't they...

> Get a +++ battery cable and power junction box from a caprice >
cab.

Why?

Makes it easy to hookup the fuel pump & kickdown relays.

> The only wire that was too short is the knock sensor.

Does it *need* a knock sensor? Of course, I have no problem
putting one in; the block has a hole drilled and tapped and for some
odd reason has a square-head bolt threaded into it. Can't figure
that one out - hole doesn't go into the water jacket.
YES.

Somehow I'm surprised. I'm better at electrical than plumbing, so
it'll probably be the same for me. Plus, I'll have to drive the tank
almost empty so I can actually handle it. I hate full gas tanks -
dang hard to lift and maneuver. :)(

Yep. The current ECM uses it to determine TCC lockup.
