Re: Mods to '85 GM TPI ECM



After spending the last 3 years messing with a my car. I learned some stuff.

 I would suggest that before you spend a lot of time with the stock ecm,
that you just jump to a 730 ecm, especially since you have a larger
displacement engine.  My 355 max's the code in the software at 255 grams/sec
at 4700 rpm's.  Your 383 will be even earlier and after the software (Notice
I am no longer saying the MAF is max'd!) is maxed the system is simply a
Alpha N which means it adds fuel simply based on rpm, no longer taking load
into consideration.
GO 730! (I bought two at a local pick and pull for $35.00 each)  (Cavalier)
Get a good serial port prom programmer.
Get Gme Pro
Get Diacom
Read the archives and stay with this list and you will literally be able to
"SUPERTUNE" your car!
