Newbie seeking advise

I have been reading Diy Efi for few months and yesterday joined this gmecm
list. My project is old off road modified Range Rover where I am going to
install EFI. I have chosen to try with GM throttle body stuff and 1227747
ECU mainly because of good availability of these parts. I already managed to
get Edelbrock manifold what makes throttle body installation easier compared
to Rover double SU carb manifold. My skills are more in EE and assembly
programming than engine tuning. I have endless list of questions but lets
start somewhere:
1.
Engine is 3.5 N/A with manual transmission. What would be the nearest
calibration to start modifications ?

2.
Have any of you installed GM efi to Rover 3.5 V8 ? Experiences ?

3.
Does 747 need GM HEI distributor ?

4.
Where can I find information about throttle bodies and injectors ?

5.
I installed WinBin editor but did not find working 747.ecu file for it. Can
anyone help ?
