Hiway mode spark and fuel ??

Has anyone used hiway mode spark and fuel modes on an aujp or simliar?  I currently have them
disabled as that is what was there originally.  Why are these disabled in ANHT and AUJP?  They
don't appear to do much at first glance.  I'm not going to touch them unless there is a good
reason to.
