That number, 16132792, is the one I am looking for.

Do you know what it is then?  It is a different animal?  The 1228253
is used in the 3800 'C' (LN3) engines in 1988, 89, 90, 91. (According to
Ludis' site.)  The 16132792 is used in 'L' engines in 1990, 91, 92. 
I assume that they did not create a new ECM for the 'W' body, and they
are a 
match much like the 1227730 and the 1227727.

Well, the 1228253 was still being used when the 16132792 came out., so I
assume it is electrically the same ECM.  I really don't know for
sure....

The 16141470 was used for the 3800 SC version, as far as I know.
Wasn't this a PCM, in that it also controls an electronic transmission?

The 16132792, as far as I know, did not control the transmission, making 
it a match for the 1228253.
