    I guess I have idle flare too!  When I start my car(everytime) the
engine shoots up to 1500-2000rpm then drops down to idle after a few
seconds.  I thought this was normal being a carb guy and knowing about fast
idle.  Is this really that bad?  Shouldn't a cold motor surge that high at
startup?  If you have time could you tell me more details about the process
of burning a chip?  Off list if you don't want to bore the list.
