Re: Ported MAF

Actually a buddy of mine from work and I kicked around the idea of using the
MAF until it is maxed then switching to a MAP sensor. The voltage (normally
from the MAF) would have to be manipulated via a comparator before feeding
the ECM. He builds circuits and works on microprocessors for a living and
has also burned custom proms. He is planning on purchasing an '86 TPI
Corvette. My idea was to use two MAF's with the sum of the two then divided
by two being fed to the ECM and the fuel and spark tables remapped
accordingly. Sound doable? I know, just convert to a '730 ECM with two bar
map and be done with it. I love the idea of true airflow vs. estimated
airflow. Any thoughts?
