Voltage based MAF device

Before I go about reinventing the wheel, I thought I'd ask here (probably
should ask on the DIY list, but I'm not on there... ;) )

Anyone got a quick and dirty circuit for a voltage based MAF calibrator?
Here's my friend's problem.

He's got a voltage based MAF that came off of a larger engined car, and it
works fine on his truck except at idle, when he gets a trouble code of MAF
reading too low (probably not pulling enough air through the MAF). Seems
like he needs a minimum voltage level to be supplied to the ECU in order not
to trip this code. His range is 0 to 5 volts, but I'm not sure of the
minimum level needed to not set the DTC.

I've got several ideas running through my brain, visions of diodes or
op-amps, but thought I'd ask and see if anyone had a quick and dirty fix for
this available?

Thanks,

Andrew
