Re: Tuning 7747

Carl,

So the ECM thinks it is turning on EGR and leans down the mixture in the
programming? Thanks, I'll try and disable the EGR and see how that effects
things. I've got idle at 128 BLM and 128 intergrator in both park and drive.
Man, does it run smooth then. I also increased the timing by 20% at low and
high cruise and it really pulls now, but I'm still running 150-160 BLMs at
128 integrator. One more question though. Since this is on an AMC block, and
the knock sensor is supposedly designed to work only on specific blocks, I
can't use the ESC system as a tuning aid to listen to knock for me. Do I just
have to use performance measurements instead? For ex. take the advance as
high as I can go before audible knock and then back it off until performance
drops or MAP voltage rises at a given RPM and TPS? I'm fixing to make a run
with the TPS% for EGR set to 100 and 99 so it should be disabled now. Once I
get it tuned without EGR, then I'll go back and see if I can get EGR back in
the loop.
Thanks again.
