Oxygen Sensor Replacement
I was wondering, does anyone have experience with O2 sensor
replacement? I have an 84 Century, and the sensor was replaced by a
mechanic who did work on the car in the past. In the manual, it shows
that a clearance of 8mm should be maintained between the boot and the
base to ensure proper sampling of ambient air. Is this true? I have an
aftermarket Bosch sensor - is it different from the original in that it
wouldn't require this gap?
