Re: '747 + 6 Cyl + Turbo?

I think I'm going to stick with the '747 for the short term goal, but for
long term I'm thinking from what I've read and heard that the port injection
setup would probably be better for turbocharging, or at least it's more
common and would therefore be easier, correct? And I would have a base
system to play with (Sy/Ty) or could go with the '730. But, I really haven't
read much on the matter of fabricating intake manifolds. I have a little 85
amp mig welder, but I don't think I'm capable of welding aluminum with it.
I've heard of a certain brazing alloy which is fairly strong and can be used
with aluminum, can't remember the name. What do you all think would be the
easiest way to fab an intake manifold? Drill holes in my stock cast Al
manifold and on injector bosses, or maybe make a steel creation (that I can
weld), I've also heard of using fiberglass? On the subject of injector
bosses and mounting, how do injectors typically mount on the manifold?
Sorry for all the basic questions, but I don't have much physical experience
with these systems. Thanx.
