For sure "12" is indicating " [Dist ] Ign Reference" at the beginning of
the sequence. Fp relay will toggle at this point as well , telltale
signs that instructions are executing. Sometimes , no Fp relay toggle and
fans run [ if equipped] @ key on is a sign of a
programming or Eprom error gotchas.

Seems like applying the 'ol ALDL jumper, moving the key to "RUN", and
observing the check eng light flashing "12" repeatedly indicates the ECM
is executing the .bin.
Anyone disagree?
