Re: '84 G-body with carbureted CCC

I converted an 89 Caprice Wagon (307 CCC Olds) to a 350
Chevy TBI. I used 4.3L Tbi Caprice Harness (Wouldn't
necessarily recommend; Needed lengthened and shortened, and
the EGR temps sensor wire was converted for IAT- which I
didn't use ultimately anyway w/ the 7747) Three main
thoughts: 1. You'll need/want a knock sensor and the ESC
box. 2.) Dash wiring: The SES/CEL light driver with need
jumped; three more wires need to be run under the dash: The
high serial ALDL line, The fused injector supply wire
(7.5amp), and the crank wire (which I spliced to the really
large Purple wire coming off the ignition switch and used
the appropriare 3A, inline fuse.) 3. I used the 92 caprice
fuel injected tank...direct bolt on. In your case, consider
using a 4.3L Monte tank, or a Buick Grand National
one...These tanks are baffled and will allow you to run w/
less than a half a tank...I makes a big difference; I have a
friend w/ a FI 79 Malibu and be has to keep a half tank
because of fuel slosh.

P.s. I did the convertion Pre-DIY_EFI, and I relied heavily
on the JTR Fuel Injection Conversion and put a chevy v-8 an
s-10 book. WARNING: This is NOT an advertisement, and these
books have no wiring diagrams....BUT they have alot of
cursory info for engine swapping and tracking down "Genuine
GM" parts as well "improvising" ford and import parts, for a
real "finished" look.
