747 spark over run

On my xfire 747 combo my idle vac is 20" and at 2600rpm cruise it's around
23-24.
Since the spark table only goes to 21" and fuel 24" can I use the coolant
compensation spark as an overrun to pull a little advance from the higher
areas or is not a good idea? Really hate to taper tables too close to my
cruise range.
Other ideas alway welcome.
