Re: 2 bar map sensor

yep, we placed third, and neither of those trucks placed higher. They were
chosen cause one got the best paint job, and the other had lingenfelter build
their engine, while no one except GMI students built ours. It is a very sore
point with us, how GM, the media, and argonne nat'l labs screwed us and the rest
of the teams by telling us there was this C&D article on us......

As a matter of fact, the lingentfelter twin turbo 5.7 liter cedarville truck ran
15.3 in 1/4 mile at the competition (anyone can install an engine, but it's
something special when youcan modify the calibrationsto make it run right!)..
Our 4.8-L, stock cam, compression&heads, with a 8psi s-trim vortech and no
intercooler ran 15.5, right on their heels. you just gotta get into those
cals:). I do have to say, that I cannot tell anyone how to get in there, but if
you do, I'm sure I can suggest what changes to make!!

I saw two of these trucks in Car & Driver. Very nice. One was from
Nebraska (more looks) and one from a school that Started with a "C" I
think..... (name of school was on the truck, it was also helped by
     Lieningfelter (sp?) Engineering)

All in all very nice work from both schools. I would have liked to have
seen all the trucks that were in the contest.
