Why'd ya do the extra work?
Hmm is your's a digitial dash?.

The "normal" operation of the 165 uses a VSS in the speedo head, in which
case as long as you had a speedo cable you'd be fine.

The 90 730 uses a A/C generator to buffer to ecm.

For a 730 to use the speedo VSS, there is a bit and wire change for it to
work.

Just dawned on me with that tranny you may be using a reluctor output to
buffer and doing the same thing as the digital dash F-Bodies did, rare for
the F-Bodies, don't know how common in the vettes.
