Re: Off idle transistions

Bruce,

I understand what you mean. Under acceleration, it is not dramatic but
rather it seems to gather speed at a rapid pace, especially once you hit
3000rpm, and easily revs past 5000rpm. I am beginning to think that the chip
I have may be close enough to not warrant modification. I bumped FP to 10.5
from just under 10 and that seemed to smooth out the idle nicely. I am in
the process of re-reading your tuning tips and also Programming 101. Could I
impose on you to clarify some points you make in the piece? Please let me
know if you would prefer on or off list? As I read it, I am particularly
interested in the light cruise tuning since this is where the vehicle lives
most of the time and where I think it could get better gas mileage
(currently about 20mpg at 75mph with 3.07 gears and OD). Also, cold start
seems to be richer than necessary until it goes into CL.
