Re: Mechanical end of K/S tests

Most engines produce better power numbers after a "fine" coating of carbon
is deposited on chambers and exhaust ports. Kinda natural thermal barrier
coating. Real TBCs are much better tho
Mixing in some oil which produces rapid Accum of crust on piston lid
and chamber walls really does the dirty deed to promote dreaded hot spots.
Since AL heads sink more heat than FE Heads , the Thermo and 190d coolant
temp should help the thermal loss dept.

Finished the SBC with the AL heads that I had smoothed the chambers, and
exhuast ports. Other then not being able to warm up, or pass the ESC
test things are wonderful.
Probably will have to go to a recirculating thermostat to get things hot
enough for the heater to be meaningful.
Also, codes for the ESC, with even an additional 4d timing.
Kinda a game call, but the engine seems perkier, to drive
Seems like a well spent $15, in my book.

Going for WI, on N/A engines now. While min, I can't help to think any
carbon build up is a bad carbon build up.
